This course offers a unique opportunity to integrate cultural insight with modern mental health practice.

"This course was therapeutic for me on many levels. For a long time, I struggled with the desire for autonomy and freedom from the influence of others. In hindsight, I realize that this quest may not represent true freedom in its essence. The course gave me insight into the importance of understanding one’s own philosophy of life and concept of self - only then can one empower others in discovering their uniqueness and identity."
"It was very good, I was engaged throughout, it helped me to feel at uni again and I learned about the importance of meaning in our daily interactions."
"I loved the course but I feel it could’ve been shorter with lesser readings."
"The experience was good. I would like more such courses focused on practical techniques which are pocket friendly. "
"It was like a wish come true. I had always been occupied with my degree syllabus and never gave myself the chance to explore beyond it. This was my effort to break those shackles and learn what I truly wanted to. I’m grateful to the teachers who met my real need for knowledge in a way that engaged both my thoughts and intellect."
Existential Perspectives in Psychotherapy: Addressing the Ultimate Concerns in Everyday Practice
Our highly anticipated course, "Existential Perspectives in Psychotherapy: Addressing the Ultimate Concerns in Everyday Practice" was launched in 2024. Designed around weekly three-hour sessions, the course is led by Dr. Yousuf Raza in collaboration with psychologist Ali Ilyas.
This 4-part lecture series explores existentialism's impact on psychotherapy through weekly three-hour sessions. Grounded in Yalom's four ultimate concerns - death, freedom, meaninglessness, and isolation- the course draws from key theorists to explore how these themes emerge in clinical work. Open to practitioners and students alike, it offers a deeper lens to enhance your current therapeutic modality, whether it's CBT or otherwise - enriching your ability to connect with clients at a human level.
Mode of Classes: Online
Classes Schedule: 1 class per week for 4 weeks

"It's been a great experience. I believe this came at a time in my life when I most needed it. I am appreciative to both instructors for sharing their insights and offering fresh ways of looking at things. My preferred method of learning has always been to engage in discussions that are more fruitful and less judgmental in nature. The art of discussion here was a pleasure to be around."
"It was truly enlightening, the course explored fundamental existential questions like the meaning of life, death anxiety, and suicidality, and the interplay of human freedom and responsibility, drawing valuable insights from the works of Viktor Frankl and Irvin Yalom. The best part of the course was the chance to discuss our real-life cases that revolved around existential questions, making the learning experience both practical and relevant.

"This course helped me revise and revisit all core concepts of psychiatry in a stress free environment and discuss it with a group of like minded people. This course and other courses with the organisation has helped me in reading books and writing again. Thank you Dr Fizza and team."
